Create Your Own Party Easy!

1. Choose a theme

a. Decide if your guests will be in costume

b. Choose a scary movie that your party will take after or serial killer theme, freak shows, the 60's, 70's,  80's, etc.

2. Decide the date, time and place.

a. The number of guests

b. A  time the party will start

c. Give yourself a time you will want the party to end.  (you don't need to put this on the invite, this is just for you to keep in mind.)

4. Food

a. Decide what you want to make.  Check out the food section here if you want recipes.

b. Decide how much food you'll need based on how many guests are attending.  (I like to send invites early so I know how many people are coming well in advance.  It makes planning more easy).

c. If you don't want to make things yourself, you also have the option of frozen food and appetizers from the grocery store.  Also check out your local bakery, they often have cookies, cakes and cupcakes all ready for Halloween.

d. Keep it simple.  Enlists friends to help.  You'll have fun together planning and cooking and doing crafts.  If you have kids get them involved!!

e. Be sure to cater to your designated drivers and offer non-alcoholic Punch.

Not all of your guests will want to drink.

f. Be sure to label food that contains peanuts, you'd be surprised at how many people are allergic.

g. Early prep means more time to have fun and less stress.  Shop for decorations, plates, cups, napkins etc. early.  The stores put their Halloween stuff out in early September and even sometimes August!  Also don't forget, that after Halloween all that stuff is on sale, so you can stock up for next year.

5. Games

a.  Look here under the games section to see what you can do. Games aren't necessary, but they allow your guests to get to know everyone, and they are good ice breakers.  Also games come in handy if there happens to be a lull in the party.  I am well known for my party games amongst my friends, and I always get compliments on my awesome prizes, which usually consist of liquor!  Be creative!
